yeah I love the sound and smell of a nitro engine, but electrics are really starting to take off. the new brushless motors are freaking amazing. some of the new electric RC cars push 75mph+.

plus even your nitro runs on NMH batteries for the servo's and radio equipment. I have a quick charger that will charge a 1500 NMH battery in about 35 min.

Not a bad price considering brushless..........I assume it has 2 motors, those bastards are freaking high $$$ if it comes with tem and speed control thats a good deal. You know other companies will then build motors for it that will be ncontrollable they'll be so fast...........you'll need 4 batteries and an onboard A/C unit to cool the thing and keep the body from burning off haha

single motor, twin battery's. apparently you can plug it into your pc to change the braking and throttle curves and what not...

it's basically an electronic conversion of my 4.6. both are 1/8 scale, this one only has single shocks because it's not as heavy as the gas powered 4.6

You know I'd think with twin batteries and the heavy electric motor it would weigh more than a nitro car.......maybe the new batteries are very light.

I demoed an elec. version of the REVO in Denver a couple months ago, it had great bottom end but no top end, I was like hell with electric I'll keep my fussy nitro engine, then they have to come up with this!!! I've been considering brushless for my buggy to eliminate the noise and re-open the track out back. Our asshole neighbors finally gave up on me and moved so I gotta go see if the new ones are gonna be cool with us running the cars again.

Lipo batteries are lighter then NiMH batteries. they are also twice the freaking price. I might look at getting the batteries first, then the truck. It will run on NiMH or lipo but I want it to do backflips out of the box, and I bet you need the Lipo batteries to do that.

Yeah i'm sure. The cool thing is this would run as good at our altitude as sea level, and if its hot or cold outside it wont affect it much.........seems like the future for RC

reef if you set up a track, let me know. My truck is not going to be competition grade, but it would be fun to beat on it at a track.

I have a huge track out back already, we got turned into the covenant guy by the neighbor on one side, those assholes moved so I think we can resume again.

It will be a while, we'll have to wait till the ground thaws and go out and groom it, it can handle a lot of cars, its about 6'-8' wide and has around 8-9 jumps, some very big, its got 3' tall banks on the big turns, its a blast. I'll let you know when we can get back out there.

LOL! That's a good one. I can't stand the HOA Nazis. They tried to tell me what flowers I could have in my yard because supposedly they would attract bees. If I want bees in my yard, who's business is it?!?!

looks like the Lipo batteries are about $115 ~ $160 each depending on the mah capacity and the volts. then you need the lipo charger, which is another $150.

I picked up an associated monster gt 8.0 for damn near free. The truck needed a turnbuckle replaced, and batteries for the truck and remote. I have a total of less than 60$ including the cost of batterys into the truck.. I also got a bag of parts for the truck, and adding up the price tags, i got over 50$ in parts! My friend sold it to me because he didnt know how to tune it, and didnt know anything about them. Took all of 10 minutes to get it running. Took me a little longer to get it tuned correctly, but now it runs like a top. Its the first "big block" RC I have ever owned. I love it.
