is there some certain criteria that earn you these special green dots?

  6. #6
no criteria just positive participation in the club at meetings or on the forum

The green bar thingy is part of the new upgrade for the forum. It gives the members the ability to rate other members. The members that have a certain number of post have the ability to rate. if you look at the bottom of your posts you have a menu that says "promote to Article" Blog this post" and then some icons. The star is reputation, the double squares is for infractions, and the caution sign is to report a inappropriate post. This is a brand new thing that has just been added recently so I’m not sure all the kinks are worked out. All the board members went to max right away other members have to earn "points" to make their bar longer. If you scroll over them with your mouse then it will tell you what your ranking is.

Now this is not a tool to be abused. If this is something we are going to start using then it needs to be used honestly, Personal opinions leave them at the door. If you post a negative comment you are going to get a negative infraction, positive then you get good points.

    does that answer your questions?

The more it is used by all the faster everyone's bar will fill up. The higher your reputation, the more benefit your clicking has to the recipient too. It gets to be kind of exponential I think.

Here is how it is currently configured. The basic jist is that anyone who has had at least 50 posts can start to affect other's reputations by approving or disapproving of posts.

It's the default theme for the AdminCP. I don't think they have changed it since 1996. It isn't available for the forum. However, I was planning on messing with some skins this weekend and can hopefully find a good one!

Seems like elementary school to me. More green if your good - less if your bad??

Wow I could loose all mine quick if you get me talking about this tool again.

Oops, looks like I only have one, I guess I better be good.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.
