ReefEd is pretty cool for those that haven't been there! You get some really good briefings and then during the breaks, its a really friendly atmosphere where you can ask some questions one on one! Plus, if they do it like last years there are corals for sale, and a few vendors to peruse during the breaks!

There's a limited amount of space for vendors, be sure to specify how much space you want as they're counting each table as 2 spots.

I have always said that if you just offer a speaker event, you will only get a handful of people. But if you offer coral frags and speakers, you have an event everyone will want to attend. I am glad to see you guys altering your plans, not just because I am selling, (lol) but I want to see you have success with ReefEd.

awesome raffle gear but the secret is in the sauce!!

In my little corner of the hobby I've been working with the likes of two of the speakers, Eric Borneman and Matt Pedersen. Both have an amazing breadth of knowledge for geek and beginner alike, and both have been wildly influential in my own development in the hobby. Listening to Pedersen speak about the filefish should prove to be a very very good talk to catch for anyone who wants to learn how to keep something "non reef safe" reef safe.

Borneman... well not only is he a great guy to talk to and work with, but his name happens to be on one of the most popular hobbyist books out there "Aquarium Corals".

throw in the raffle items... and lunch!! you gotta be there

Since some of us haven't read some of the things from the speakers that will be at ReefEd, I decided it would be cool if I linked us to some of them every now and then until ReefEd!!!! Here is one that Eric Borneman wrote about "brute trashcans." Here is one paragraph from it:
"The point here is that for all of you (including me) who use plastic containers, and definitely the almost industry standard" grey Brute trashcans to store water or kalkwasser, have highly toxic plasticizers. We do not know if these would leach out if soaked, exposed to UV, acid-base washed, if it is a coating, or impregnated. But, at the very least using water from these containers, definitely when new, will cause reproductive failure and who knows what other chronic effects it may have. "
