    Maxima help

I'm in the market for a maxima clam. What do I need to know about these? How fast do they grow? I'm looking for a 3" to 4" clam to fill the spot I want. I'm wondering how quick it will out grow that area.

Max out at about 18" but are fairly slow grower IME... .25" - .75" / year is what I've heard of.

Those are a little to big and to expensive for me. He may have something hiding out there though. I need to schedule a trip.
