    hey computer people, please help

Last night I did a full system recovery on my pc. It was having some major problems for the last few months. Anyway, everything went well. My question is......it was configured back to hp/vista factory settings and it has all of the trial programs on the desktop. See picture.

I went to programs to uninstall/change programs and most of the stuff on my desktop isnt in the uninstall location. Oh, and most of them are shortcuts. How do I get rid of these? I figured just pressing delete on the icon wouldnt take it completely off the computer. WHat should I do? I am basically removing all of the extra crap off of a new pc.

if the apps aren't in add remove programs, and aren't listed under c:\program files\..... then it just restored the shortcuts and not the apps. you can just delete the shortcuts at that point.

Yup, (right click each icon then choose delete)... and if you just want them off your desktop you can delete them and the programs will still remain.

If its not under the programs add/remove section, try to fiind the program in the programs list Start>All programs, then look for each program. Each program may have an uninstall attached.
