Yeah I started my own business about 6 years back and the tank has taken a back seat. Have thought about giving it up many times as I don't have the time to keep it in good shape. I'm amazed it hasn't crashed due to the lack of maintenance I give it now a days. It does just keep plugging along. Some things seem to thrive and other not so much. That acro though is growing out the top of the water and nothing seems to phase it. By far the most hardy coral I've ever had.
Let me know if you get down this way and you can take which ever one you like. My whole frag tank tray is growing together, not sure if anything is separate anymore, suppose I should go take a look.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

And remember you can always lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think.

I took a couple of updated pictures of my tank today so I could log the progress over the next few months. It's not what it used to be but it's kind of fun to start again. Cant wait till I fill this tank up again like it used to be, but hopefully I'll have the 300 setup before that happens!

Well I decided to scape my glass again, been about 4 months lol. This is why I will never get acrylic!

Now I can see in again! Tank looks a little rough from some neglect with alk dosing. Been too busy with the basement. I lost a few corals including my pearlberry.

    Dredged up this old betty....

I needed to look back at this for some inspiration of my humble beginnings in the club. I cannot wait to have my tank looking as good as I did 10 years ago some day! Reading these old posts really brings back memories, how I miss the old days. Honestly makes me a little emotional about all the people that are not around anymore.

Maybe that would work but I don't know. I do miss Scott though and that vlamingi that he had, such a cool fish. We had some real hardcore reefers around back in the day.

Today is bitter sweet and marks the end of a reefing era and introduction to this club for me. Everything has been moved to the 300 system and is doing well so it's time. This tank has been running for the last 12 years, and today marks the end. It was a great tank and taught me alot, but now it has to go so I can finish my basement!

I hear you with me too busy! The other thing I discovered is that I love to keep my tanks at home and work on them and take care of them but when I keep one at work it's not very fun because I go to work to work and then taking care of the tank becomes work and I don't like my tanks being work. I'll try to take a break on my setups because we purchase a house and it's turned out to be something of a money pit with several repairs that we didn't discover or needed during the inspection so I put a new lead filled in this weekend I'm cutting section out of my concrete slab to find my broken water pipe under the slab and replace that. Ah the joys of homeownership! Lol

Yea I'm the same. I have a Betta at work in a 5 gallon and it's a chore to do maintenance on him sometimes. At the end a long day I'm ready to go home and it's the last thing I want to do.

That sucks about your house. Hopefully you get it all taken care of and you don't find other things. I know how that goes, you tear into something to fix it and you end up finding more!
