    Hey everyone,
My name is Nick. I recently moved to the Texas panhandle from Phoenix Arizona. Iv been into reefing for 5 years. Started with a 75g then went to a 140g, had a failure with that tank and transferred everything to a 55g and now with my 150g pennensula which in my current home I can't have set up that way but it still does the job. Hopefully I can get to know everyone on here like I did in Phoenix since this is the closest active community. Driving doesn't bother me to meet up with people or stores. Amarillos fish pros is lacking IMO on the reef side and prices are high for what they have. Hopefully I can find some more stores in southern Colorado that are worth visiting.

Welcome Nick. You are about 6 hours from us, same time to Dallas. There is the Dallas Ft Worth Marine Aquarium Society. Both of us are on Facebook as well. Beautiful tank!

Beautiful tank, that huge carpet sure looks happy! Welcome to the club, and look forward to meeting you at Fragtoberfest. I recently moved to Ohio but will be flying back for the event.

Levi hasn't kept a tank long enough to keep corals alive so forgive his ignorance

Hahaha we all have been there one time or another I'm sure. I finally learned to quit messing with it dummy method. Hands out and watch and read the tank not parameters method. I know people think I'm nuts but I'm on the water change when needed routine. Maybe 4-5 months if that

I have been researching for years on Saltwater tanks and just got a used system. It already has a Pink Tail Trigger, Spotted Fox Face, and Sand Goby. The live rock was in poor shape so I have been slowly adding more to get up to around 90lbs. Have spent the time cleaning the system and just fixed the protein skimmer (Leak on one side allowing stuff to spill out). Should I remove the bio-balls from the system? I have also read to do this very slowly. The sump appears to be between 25/30 gallon.

Glad you signed up bro. Slowly remove the bio balls and add live rock rubble. LR is much more beneficial than balls for natural filtration.
