What type of lighting are most people running for their sump lights? I have a CFL bulb but it went out last night and looking to see what is the best for the price.

This is the one I use and it works great

I get about 3-4 gal of chaeto a month. I do have very high nutrients though so I'm sure that's part of it but this has been the best light I have found personally. I imagine any high power grow led would work well. Get something with lots of red light for sure because it makes a huge difference for sure.

Edit: it seems they have changed it some since I bought it a couple years ago.... It used to have lenses in it before and not just the diodes, glad I have spares! This could make a difference with the new style that may not work as well. I would look for a higher wattage grow light style still though if I were you.
