Trying to decide if I want two or three... I think one would be good on my (36") 65g but was think about having two for my (48") 75g? At 1,000g/hr, I guess one would do, thoughts?

On both the 65g and 75g tanks, personally I would go with the 24" overflow. The point of the coast to coast bean animal style overflow was to produce the most surface skimming possible. You could use the 6" or the 16" and they will all do what you need as far as flow. Surface skimming is what really makes the difference as proteins float to the surface and by skimming as much of that as possible into your sump, it allows your skimmer to do its job more efficiently.

Ohh, you so smart grasshoppa! Thanks Sir, very good point...
Now that you reminded me of this, I think that I have read somewhere that this is very true to a point. I don't remember though if it was anything over 24" (specific length) doesn't improve the benefit or is it a percentage of the tank size (cost of increased size vs improved surface skimming). So 24" was the maximum benefit if I remember correctly, do you know this to be true?

I don't have the article but yes that is what I read as well. 2x of the 6" at different sides of the tank may just do the same effect or a 16" in the center of the 65g

    *update*

Here is the 16" version of the Phantom overflow.

Has fully encased magnets to hold the weir snugly in place.

Black back plate, bottom plate and lid with 3 clear sides so you can see inside.
