    60 Gallon Cube Build

This is the 60 Gallon that my daughter won at Fragtober fest. We re-stained the stand and it is now in the house. I need to find a sump that will fit under the tank and then do the plumbing (may need help). We are thinking of stocking this tank with "non-reef" safe fish but also have a few corals. This is the wife's idea and I want her to enjoy the hobby. If anyone has any suggestions I am all ears.
I have ordered a Jecod/Jebao DCT Marine Controllable Water Pump DCT-6000 for the return pump.
Finnex Electronic Controller Aquarium Titanium Tube with Heater Guard 300 watt.
Not sure on Protein Skimmer or power head at this point.

The stain looks cool, that's going to be a sweet setup! How are you planning to mount the lights?

I am thinking about building or asking a real nice guy named JJ to help me build a canopy and use the same stain.

We can talk about a canopy.

If I was you, I would ask doyle to redo the sump you gave doyle. That could be covered with a nice thick acrylic (thus making it new).

That is a heck of an idea. I think it would fit nicely under the stand. Good thinking. You are a genius!!

So I will be running this equipment.

I have ordered a Jecod/Jebao DCT Marine Controllable Water Pump DCT-6000 for the return pump.
Finnex Electronic Controller Aquarium Titanium Tube with Heater Guard 300 watt.
    Thoughts on a powerhead?
    Should I run a Reefkeeper?

    Any recommendations?

if you are going to run a PH, I would go with a gyre!

I am just afraid that a gyre would be too much flow for that size tank.

I still have some of that wood panel left. So the canopy can match the stand.

Gyres are controllable as far as output goes.

Peronsally, I hated Ecotech powerheads. If you have an Apex, their WAV powerheads are pretty cool. I see a use for them and a gyre, which is what I have in my display.

Check out the Icecap Gyre - controllable and cheaper than Maxspect. Apparently owned by Coralvue company too?

Bulk Reef Supply has them for around $140 or so.
