Bummer. Get what you pay for bro. I would have done the exact same thing. It's not like they can spit in your food, right? On second thought, maybe you should rinse out your tank a few times before you fill it.

Yea it just sucks, it's hard to turn it away because it looks great and was done exactly how I wanted it. Hopefully they can buff them out or something and don't have to tear the tank apart and put in new panes.

They might just be confused. You're supposed to pee in the tank to start the cycle not spit! Lol

For sure, but short term displeasure means you won't regret your decision in the long run!

Yes you can with cerium oxide and a buffing wheel. Whether they will go this route or not I don't know.

I've done it with cerium oxide before. Works on the shallow ones. If you can catch your fingernail in the scratch, it is probably too deep to get out without making a dimple in the glass, which leaves a distortion.

Yep, sent it back a third time yesterday because it still has lots of scratches. I'm going to give them one more shot to make it right then I'm going to go with someone else. Pretty rediculous at this point.

Well back to waiting a bit longer. They are building the tank again from the ground up so it will be worth it. I'm glad they are just doing another one so I don't have to worry about it as much. They are also going to fully crate the tank this time before they ship it out. They think things were being put into it when it was on the truck for extra space.

I agree. To be honest Jerry has been very understanding and apologetic about the situation. He didn't really give me a lead time but I'm guessing atleast a month. At this point I'm fine waiting if I truly get to pick it up next time it ships.

Glad to hear they are making it right. Maybe since they owe you, they will give you a discount on a 1,000 gallon tank if you order it for me.

    That's a Christmas gift hint.

No not really. Jerry called me last week and they got the glass in and we're just waiting on the new stainless frame. I hope I get it before Christmas though.

The basement is kind of at a standstill until I get the tank. I'm going to tile the bar area and bathroom next week hopefully. Once I get the tank in I can tile by the back door and tank room and after that it's just hanging trim and doors. I obviously can't do carpet until I tear down my old tank, so might get done by summer I hope.
