Well today was the day. Someone stopped by and we started talking about tanks. He asked me that now the sump and ato box is done. What is holding me back. I didn't really have an answer for that. So guess what we did.... First, we pulled all of the rock and livestock out of the tank.

Gave the tank a good swabbing and finished the tear down.

We lifted the tank off of the stand. This had to be done in order to install the new sump. We also took out all of the gravel and gave it a good washing.

The tank was taken out side and washed completely. When putting it back together. The tank got new bulkheads, new return pump, new protein skimmer and hard plumbed the drain and return. It had soft pipe before. We also installed all new rock.

While we were tearing everything down. I started making two 55gallon barrels of fresh saltwater. Once the sand and rock was installed. We started adding water to the tank.

While the tank is cycling. I will redo the lighting and install a bluefish controller so that Cheryl can have some fun gadgets on her new tank. The rockwork was installed so that I can place corals in the front and back and be viewed from both ends as well as the front. The plan is still to be a dominant SPS tank. HUGE thanks to my friend for putting in the time to help me get this project rolling.

Cycle is complete and we have started adding the fish back in. So far we've added the firefish, yellow tang, purple tang and hippo tang. Oh yeah one scarlet hermit also.
The lighting has been redone and the automation controller is installed also.
