    Killing aiptasia

Have a seahorse tank that developed an aiptasia problem. Had 20 or 30 altogether. Decided to try lemon juice to kill them. Didn't want to put in a peppermint shrimp or a chemical because I thought either might harm them. Used 2 different lemon juices and a 27 gauge needle and syringe. One type of juice didn't work at all and the other melted them almost immediately. Injected a few each day until all were gone. Has been almost a month since last injections and I haven't seen any since. Anybody else have luck with this method or another similar method? I've also heard a little bit about pickling lime but haven't used that method. Also I have some weed corals that I can't get rid of and was wondering what the best way to get rid of them are.

    What brand of lemon juice?

Yes, there is nothing wrong with killing some pest corals inside your tank. I do not recommend killing softies because of their toxin levels.

Riverton orchard was the kind that didn't work at all. The one that did I'm not sure of the brand but it's the one that comes packaged to look like a lemon and is usually in the produce section. It also seemed to work better when it was dehydrated and even more concentrated.

Iv used kalk paste in the past also boiling water injected into the mantle of the aptasia. Just be sure to get the whole thing as it will spread spores when not completely killed. And you will end up with more.
