    sa$$y's NEM tank

Well here goes….Sa$$y ‘s nem tank

I come home from work to a couple of guys needing to do something, and Doyle has been talking about doing “something” with this freshwater tank that has been neglected. It only had ONE fish left in it and never got any attention.

So, I wanted a NEM tank- we had talked about but never did anything about it; so today was the day. Thank you to the wonderful help from JJ “static”, Jacob “underbite” and Doyle “hooked”, it is under way.

A BIG BIG thank you to Charles Hardy for coming over and give my one fish a new home – he will be so happy with a bigger tank and lots of new friends.

I had to rearrange the living room to make room for the 40 gal stretch HEX tank, clean up all the granddaughter and dog toys; then it all started coming together.

Then to the kitchen to clean the tank and “stuff”.

I am so excited to be getting a NEM tank, they have always been my favorite, now just to fill with LOTS of cool clown fish and beautiful NEMs.

I loved watching the guys be excited with me for this tank, got the motivation to put it all together for me.

Adabelle already watching our new tank, oh how that girl loves Papa and Nana’s tanks…

So now filled with water, started the cycle and even got a jump start on lighting for it with those custom Doyle LED lights.

That is sweet! Is that real driftwood or ceramic?

The LED's that are on this tank right now is just a set that I had been using for color research. I have started on a special LED fixture for this tank. It should be in full operation by time the cycle is complete.
I'm also thinking about building a ceramic structure for this tank. I don't really like the driftwood in there.
I have seeded the tanks with a bag of ceramic rings from one of my other systems, So it should compliment a population of various pods too.

A new tube anemone and a few rock nems, and one rainbow put in the tank last night, they are slowing coming out and being happy. Can't wait for more and then to add the clown fish
