    Float Switches

Is there anywhere local to buy float switches? I am thinking about making my own ATO and need some.

keep in mind 99% of float switches out there are not made to handle 120vAC, how are you planning to build the ATO?

I was planning to wire one end to a 12v transformer and the other to a pump and another one inside my 5 gal bucket so when the water level is too low the pump will not turn on and burn up.

I would do both in line with each other, one right side up and one upside down. The upside down in the 5g bucket so that as long as there is water in it the switch is turned on then the right side up one for The water level in the sump so when The water level dropsnit turns that switch on making both switches on. If that makes any sense.

Also might want a relay to do the turning of the outlet on and off
