Cool 250 DD Mixed Reef Build - aka Trish's New Baby!

So been away for a while - figured I would start a thread for my newest build that's about to go down! I'm super excited!!!!

The 250 Deep Dimension tank n stand etc should be making its way to my house in the next couple days

In the mean time I've been collecting a few items/inhabitants that will be going in it so they can go through their q/t while I'm putting their new home together...

Just picked up a male blue jaw trigger (4-4.5") and added him to a q/t tank... Also have 7 bangii cardinals schooling in a tank and a stripped blenny. (forgive the pics - they were just snapped real quick w my iPhone)

I'm kinda just going with whatever I like LOL I have a 70 mixed reef right now that will be put into the 250... It has a yellow eye kole tang, flame angel, a pair of black/snowflake clowns, talbots damsels, a six line, lawnmower blenny, sandshifting starfish, and other misc critters.
Just picked up a bunch of stuff from a guy breaking down his tank in Denver - including several large colonies of some really nice acans and chalices! Also a 6" Naso tang and a marble wrasse

I would like to get my hands on some larger colonies of hammers, frogspawn, and torches - they are my guys favorites and I told him I would get some in there for him too. I know a sailfin will happen and some various wrasses. I'd really like to try a clown tang but I'm not sure how hard they are to care for - does anyone have experience w them?

I have all my rock and the tank is in place as of 3 hrs ago lol Just sitting here on the laptop as I'm filling the 100gal trough Tim just let me borrow (THANKX TIM!)
    Now to plumb everything!!!

I would have helped but I'd have busted stitches for sure! Can't wait to see the build go down.

So since I hate canopies on tanks bc it makes them look smaller IMHO - We just suspended it all from the ceiling It looks much nicer now! All my Orphek lights are hung and programed. Glass is scrubbed. Tank is now plumbed.... Next step is to add more sand and do my aquascaping!!!!!!!!

Thankx everyone I always hated how small having and huge stand and then a bulky canopy sandwiching an aquarium... Hence why I figured I would try this. Luckily I have a handy boyfriend that was willing to help me lol

The best part is ballasts for the lights sit on top of the canopy where they get good airflow and you can't even see them!!

Love the look, how does it feel when you sit on the couch and look at it? LEDs in your eyes?
