I need a lift of about 2" on my skimmer. The recommended height is 9" but even at full open its too much, so I figure that at 7" I can get the height I want in skimmer for water level.

I used some 3/4" 3 way pvc elbows and pipe to make frame. Used some excess egg crate i had to make top. Drilled a few holes in pipe so it wouldn't try to float. Then i just cut legs to desired height. Nothing is glued so it can be changed at anytime. Was just some leftover parts from another project.

Was kinda funny making a coffee table for my skimmer. Don't know if i should have or not but my heaters tuck under it nicely.

I used 3/4" Tees and 90s to make a rectangular ring. You can adjust the height with 3/4" PVC pipe, as previously mentioned. I put egg crate on top of the ring and used zip ties to hold it on.

I'm having the same problem so I brought home some stuff from work.

PVC stand with repair couplings for feet

The feet slide in and out for the adjustment

nice work there DIY KING! I was thinking of using some PVC and I guess the nice thing is that it would allow more water to flow in and around the skimmer. I really only need like 2" of lift on the skimmer and the pump since my pump mounts to the side of the skimmer. I have some egg crate so I guess tonight I will whip something up after I get done working on the lights.

Right on, I'll be interested to see your work. Reminds me, I forgot to go to the 1/2 off remnant sale at the plastics shop near me. Perfect way to get some cheap scraps.
