    Where is your air being taken in? Most likely placing it in the inlet path (h2o intake to pump) or past the ball valve towards skimmer will keep air flowing. If it's between the outlet of the pump and the ball valve, the pump is going to try to push all the excess h2o out through the air intake line.

    Air inlet is on the intake side of pump.

    Also adjusting the air line closer in towards the wheel may help. Could you post a picture of the area where the air enters the pump?
