Hey everyone thanks for the responses.

I will do some research into adding cross braces on the bottom. Although I don't think they are needed. This stand feels like you could park a semi on it. I tried to move it in just about every direction and it wont budge! On top of that we will also be skinning the stand so that should add more support overall.

The overall plan for this is going to be a 60G cube (Left side), a 120G (Center), and a 60G cube(Right side). I have plans to add a 6FT frag tank in the near future but still need to draw up plans for that.

I'd put a sheet of plywood under the bottom of the stand and you can seal the inside to hold any spills that may happen

Definitely going to be adding some plywood to the bottom of the stand and sealing it. Levi has come up with some pretty elaborate plans for this build! So the next step is going to be adding the plywood and painting/sealing the stand. We are going to caulk the bottom of the stand; then use a base layer of primer (Bulls Eye Water-Base Primer/sealer) then add a layer of (Blue Max Liquid Rubber) Then another layer of Primer.

The stand will have a plywood bottom to tie it together as well as get a nice skin of maple plywood so there is no fear of it bowing.

No need to explain, I was convinced when the pro chimed in and approved.

What I'm interested to know is what the stocking plans are for each tank

Lol I would agree if it had not been Brian's idea for the project over a year ago before I even did my basement build!

Long list of fish and most likely high end sps. We took a trip to aquatic art on Saturday to get a quote for the tanks. Brian has really done his homework and keeps thinking a ways to make the setup better.

I like his style. In working on the fish now and he def won't be disappointed in my new acro suppliers. I can garuantee it. The left overs here the other night I'd consider b grade compared to the ones that sold quick

Actually... Don't they say that at all... I believe the saying is those who can do, do. Those cannot do, teach . Does the shoe still fit? I'll let them peanut gallery decide as I gracefully fade to nothing now by saying the build looks great

Now if I can just get my end of this thing working. Turning out to be harder than expected.
