    Orange Shoulder Tang

Found a 3-4" orange shoulder tang yesterday and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. It's incredibly happy and swimming around the tank. It grazes all over the rocks and has eaten all the algae off of the snails.

Great to hear. I really enjoyed mine. Was a good grazer too.

It's not a fan of nori, mysis or spirulina. I'll have to find something for it quick.

You could try soaking the nori in garlic or a little sugar mixed with the tank water.

Expensive stuff! I just picked it up, but he's going to town on it.

The description of it says it doesn't come with suction cups... Mine came with 2.

Kind of strange that I have to walk away from the tank before it will eat, but whatever. It is a huge grazer, and doesn't really like anything else.

Still shy. He'll get used to you eventually. It took all of six months to a year for my foxface and hippo tang to eat from my hand, and I'm around the tank every day.

The tang has resorted to grazing on everything. That's awesome, because there is zero algae in the 150g. It's also not shy at all anymore and comes out to show me around the tank like it's saying, "Look over here."
