need to clean up the rock a little as you can see it has a little sand on it. i also need to work with the sand a little to get it a little even from front to back.

Sand is going to move when you turn the closed loop on. Don't kill yourself trying to get it perfect, it never stays that way.

got the new QT up running with Dr. Tims One and Only and a few pieces of live rocks...floating in the bag is 3 green chromis....these fish will probably stay in here to help keep my QT cycled. i do have a blue led light sitting on top not sure if ill keep running it like this or not. but it will do for now. the plan as of right now is just to run this strictly as a QT tank.

As of this morning the chromis are still alive so, so far my QT tank is looking good.

Great idea keeping fish in the qt as a permanent placement.

Just make sure the rock is secure on the bottom of the sand bed so nothing can dig it out and cause a collapse.

Well it was kind of a bittersweet day for me today. got this PB today the same day I found my grandfather has passed. but I will say the PB looks fine atleast before i went to work and is in my QT right now. The PB is already eating seaweed so that is good.

So its been awhile since I have posted pictures so here goes it

Thanks to Murph for hooking me up on this one.

Obviously started building up algae so i ended up getting some clean up crew something small for right now, didnt want to over do it. also turned on the skimmer at this point thanks Tim for that recommendation.

The bubble that Murph held for me until my tank was ready.

    More bubble

This is a picture of the rock after skimmer was turned on as you can see algae is greatly reduced.

Decided to move bubble in the middle of the tank so i can slightly turn up the flow on the close loop

Picture of the Powder Blue and some coral Murph hooked me up on

Got a couple of tuxedo's to help start getting rid of the algae. may need a couple more.

    The other tux.
