    best T5 bulbs?

I am looking for a full spectrum white t5 vho bulb 48" and ran across aquatic life bulbs and ATI bulbs. Anyone that runs t5 have any opinions on the best growth and life per bulb?

ATI and Geissman are usually the top rated T5 bulbs that I've read.

I'd look at these 3 for starters and keep in mind if you have UV~420 in your LED spectrum or not.
    ATI Aquablue special
    ATI Coral Plus
    GE 6500K

Not sure on life but I read that they last longer if you keep 'em cool.

I'm looking for just 2 bulbs and both whites of some sort. I will have a full blue varied spectrum ranging from 400-465nm

    Ati blue plus
Ati purple plus. I love how the purple plus makes the reds in my corals so much brighter.

I have a 48" purple plus if you want it.

are they purple or white? I have a 2 bulb fixture now that I will be having Doyle make LEDS to attach to for a T5 and LED combo. So the LEDS will handle the blue/purples and the bulbs will handle the full spectrum whites. I like the coral plus as it has a mix of white, blue, purple to produce a 15k look from what google research has told me so far.

I'm running wavemaster 12,000k and 6500k. That with my blue LED's are producing some nice growth right now.
So I would guess that any other brand with that combo would work also.

If this is for the scrubber why not use t-8. Super cheap and for growing algae and barely penetrating 1/4" or acrylic and a curtain of water they would likely last years.

I just got the ultra growth bulb in the mail today. I really like the color. Hopefully the growth is just as good. Side note, I ordered from marine and reef and was extremely happy with them. I ordered on Thursday and it got here today, safe and packaged very well.

I thought about that but I'm trying to keep energy consumption down to a minimum.

thoughts? I will need 4 of these for my two frag tanks, and I like the wavepoint bulbs I think after much reading and research for price vs benefit.
