    Murfman's 300 Glass

    Old 300 acrylic tank
    http://www.thescmas.com/forums/showt...ghlight=bodies

    Old tank just before coming down. Took it down due to either a leak in one of the seams on the end viewing panel or one of the bulkheads on the bottom for the closed loop;

    Old tank gone;

    New tank arriving from Denver. Fluid Designers had it built to my specifications.

    Tank is going to be bare bottom so I installed a 3/8" thick HDPE bottom. This is what is used for heavy duty plastic cutting boards.

    Some of the crew to help move it;

    Want to thank the crew who helped move the old one out and the new one in; Ritmar, Campbell, CharlesHardy, Hooked, Romebaby, Just_Tim, Xsocali, Hayden for being the lead supervisor, Ritmar2 for being the team lead and Sa$$y for being the official photographer. Charles Hardy was the scribe! Thanks to Dave Marriott and Altalal Ibrahim, from Fluid Designers.

    Bringing it through the French doors;

    Sliding it onto the stand;

    Assessing the fit;

    Had to make some adjustments to the wall stud to clear the plumbing;

    Moving it a 2nd time to make wall adjustments;

    Sawzall fixes all!

    Hammer and chisel fixes what sawzall can't!

    Final resting place.

    Tight against the non viewing wall;

    Back even with the front edge;

    Checking the bar against the edge;

    View from the end;

    View from the front;

    Looking over some rock;

    That looks great! I wonder if the fish have any idea how many of their kin have met their fate on a cutting board like their happy home's bottom has.

    +1 on the overflow. So much saved space and I'm incredibly jealous!

    How are you feeling about that instead of the closed-loop Paul?
