Looks like this weekend is a no go fellas, the city decided they needed to redo rhe sidewalk right now and my driveway is closed and the sidewalk for a quarter mile each way is closed with no parking and across the street is packed with cars... maybe next weekend

Yeah its great... The dudes were kinda a holes about it too... just dug holes in the yard and shoved a notice in the mailbox say g we would be notified 24 hours ahead of time when the driveway was closed and when I got home from work that night they had it blocked off... Real thrilled

Okay. Update. No pics cause I'm a bum. Got all the equipment needed thanks to some super sweet deals from some really awesome guys in our club. Special thanks to Levi for hooking me up with a skimmer so I could lose the aqua c, now I've got a bdass reef octopus skimz, to Joe for the awesome halide fixture I'll be retrofitting my canopy to fit in there, to David for a ridiculously sweet deal on two vortec MP40s.

Here's what's left. First things first, gotta get mrshoneybear's tank going so I can tear down the 55g that's sitting in the way, now that we have our pro flex sump that'll be up and going within the week if all goes well.

Next the 180 will be relocated indoors and Levi has graciously offered to let me borrow his electric buffer to polish up the tank. A very light sanding is all I'm looking to do, then polish it out, only a few scratches that will require a bit more work.

On the fence about cutting out the overflow box and doing a custom ghost overflow. Need to hit up our resident acrylic fabricator Doyle to hash out the possibilities.

The stand needs work, I'll be replacing the base completely with a fresh piece of plywood, resealing and painting the stand black exterior, white inside.

The canopy needs some love, have to make it fancy to fit the light set I got from Joe.

I have a 100g tank I need to patch up and baffle for use as a sump courtesy of being ripped off on a deal, kinda glad I hung onto it now.

Will be bleaching all of my dry rock this week as well, then onto seeding it with some good rock I have in my frag flat for a few weeks, maybe more, will also be landing it with pods and rotifers.

Have to design my pvc tunnel system that will be buried in the sand in preparation for the zebra eel I plan to house in the tank, will be my last addition.

So there's the game plan. I'm highly motivated, especially now that I have all the necessary equipment. Thanks to everyone for lighting a fire under my arse and keeping it burning

Pretty good honestly. I had to change them every 4 days at first but I think it was the move combined with all the detritus on the rocks and the better flow I have in the new tank caused them to fill up fast but now I'm up to about a week before change out. Haven't thrown them away think we're gonna give washing them a go before we commit to just tossing them

what micron are they? I turn mine inside out and wring them real good in hot water, before throwing them in the washer. I do need to get more, 7 is not enough.
