Here are the pics from when we brought home our MACNA bounty...all the water to the left of the tank was free...pretty much take what you could carry at that point...I can tell you that pealing off that AI Prime advertisement wrap was a pain...but glad it didn't mess up the stand.

Def not easy decision sometimes...but like Brian said before... sometimes better to spend the money on what you want vs something you end up replacing anyways

+1. It can be hard to know if what you choose will end up being what you wanted, but there have been several occasions where I have decided I should have gone for an upper tier thing instead of trying to save money (stressed 220 tank that cracked!). There is some magic balance that can be elusive.

This is going to be a pretty sweet build, definitely going to keep a eye on this. Zack have you used the all in one pellets before?

No I haven't. I figured I'd give them a shot. AmericanReefChannel has a long review on them.

So, first thoughts on the Orphek Atlantik Compact....instructions for WiFi setup are somewhat vague and do not come with the light, you have to go and download the PDFs from their website. I also had to do a factory reset out of the box to get to the WiFi settings because the internal network card was not responding to the setup instructions. The tablet app has full features (quick sets, programs, clouds, weather, etc...) but crashes every time you select the light to enter settings. The phone app on the other hand works fine when selecting the light, but is more limited in options (quickset and programs only...but you cannot save your quicksets) #FirstGenProblems #GetTheKinksOutFirst

So, new updates from the world of Orphek. There seems to be a bit of a bait'n switch going on with them at this time. I had contacted the company wrt the application issues I was having and they informed me that they had disabled the cloud/weather and dusk/dawn functions until further notice...of course this is nowhere to be found on their site or in their setup/installation guides...I had a nice conversation w/one of their customer service reps about their lack of communication w/the customer base regarding things like that...

So currently, the only application that works is the phone app. With that, you can program the 4 channels for whatever time/intensity you wish, you just have to try and program your dusk/dawn cycles yourself...only kicker is you're limited on the number of data points for each channel...

All-in-all...things are coming together...I'll be getting some more pictures up once I have all the equipment routed, the lights mounted, and the APEX hooked up...more to follow
