    The Cube

Finally decided to setup a show tank in the house, it is a Marineland cube, approximately 20x20x20. WE had it at the store so I figured I would see what I could transform it into.

I can't believe this is the only picture I took in the bare bones state of the cube. This is just a top down shot before the drilling began for the overflow.

So as far as the stand goes, I wanted to incorporate the sump and the A.T.O underneath the display tank. I have a dedicated line that will feed the A.T.O in the utility room. This is the basic layout of the stand before priming and skinning. Their will be a 40 gallon refugium and a 10 gallon A.T.O. to keep the system happy

Well since I am going bare bottom I decided to try out the mp40, all I can say is what a nice wave this tank is having.

So I wasn't go to make this tank have a internal overflow, but after finding the trusty diamond holes saw I couldn't resist. So I figured with the amount of flow this tank is going to have, two holes are better than one.

So a complete success, two holes drilled for the massive amount of flow and waves generated to keep all my sps happy.

A nice shiny pre-install picture of the overflow box, 1,400 G.P.H of potential flow should be adequate for the cube..Hopefully

Thanks, I cannot wait to have a tank inside the house again. Although all the coral troughs are nice, it is still nice to admire one in the living room. So here is a pic of the actual box installed.
