    Acro ID

Is there a general consensus on what the name of this is? I've been calling it a candlelight acro because of the tips, but recently have seen it called something else. The base is a deep green, then purple blueish, then bright green tips that glow under the blues. Thoughts?

Looks too thick to be a tri color. Top right of the pic looks like a candlelight or highlighter acro, mid pic and most of the bottom looks like oregon or cali tort. Is it really both colors purple and blue in person?

The polyps are bright blue, and the tips and body have a blueish purple color that swings either blue or purple in spots. It is thicker then my tri color and looks pretty different.

Not sure then. My oregon is all blue, my cali is blue/purple, neither have tips like that. My candlelight is purple/violet/green with those same tips but no blue at all.

This is the mother colony the branch originally broke off of. They're in different tanks, so you can see the difference lights can make, but they both have all the same colors. The blue polyps aren't really visible, but they're bright blue in person.

The closest I can find are these two. Looks just like them, but closer (mostly the tips) to the first.

After seeing it yesterday I don't believe it to be the purple chronic acro. ATL also has the same acro as "Purple Chronic" on their website as "Becker's Tort".

I've given up on trying to remember all the marketing names. It seems that some corals are known by many names. All I can say is that is one really beautiful specimen!
