Clowns laid eggs!... And ate them

The importance of using backup devices when you question the accuracy. Tank is 82 degrees but one thermometer says 88 degrees.

Clowns laid first batch that I know of next to a rbta and half way guarded it. They keep moving between the two nems in the tank and might be why they were crappy parents lol.

Could be that the eggs were not fertile and they are prepping for the next round.

Also, when clowns lay their first batch, almost all the time it never hatches and the adults eat them. Give them a few more times, and they'll figure out that if they don't eat them, they'll have babies!

Cool. It's like most people are better grandparents than parents because they learn from their mistakes with the first batch of kids.

Lol good point Joe! Yeah I'm going to try and have my breeding racks up and water cycling in them this weekend or next week. All 4 of my pairs are picking at rocks cleaning so I know they all want to lay.
