    Identity help?

As I was doing my morning checks on the system, I sprayed down my mangrove trees with rodi and I noticed this guy. I am not entirely sure if it is a bug that came in on the mangroves or if it is a local. I do have pen size brown spots on a few leaves. I took him off and squashed him like the bug he is but, I would like to know if this is what is/was killing some of our mangroves on the last shipment or if this is just my problem.

    Thanks
    Jj

I can say for certain it did not come in with the mangroves as each one was rinsed and hand washed in ro water before it went in. It looks like some sort of beetle here to CO.
