    Color of Cyano

This is probably a moot point but I was curious on the colors of cyanobacteria. There are many different colors of Cyanobacteria from red, green, blue green, brown, and black to mention just a few. My question is, is the color of the specific cyanobacteria relative to a particular nutrient increase, (i.e. Red= high phosphates, green= high nitrates etc…), spectrum of the lights you are using, or is it just a roll of the dice as to what you get when your nutrients increase or you lose the balance in your tank?
