Only thing known to kill ich is UV and fallow (that are reef safe). I say do both as UV is kinda like doing hypo just on the water as it passes through the unit and back to normal water. Get a UV ster and have it between your tank and return pump. Also do slow flow through it. Then just use wave makers in tank to create flow. Goal is to cycle as much water through it as slowly as possible.

Only if you can get it all to pass thru the uv sterilizer, which would be pretty much impossible. Take the host out of your tank (the fish) and treat them with hypo or copper

Not to mention leave the display fallow for 8+ weeks to ensure thw parasite has died off

UV helps to keep ich from blooming inside the tank but will not kill it completely. Best bet is like freedom said or fish in hypo and let display remain fishless and ich will die off. Then you are ich free as long as you don't add any new corals or fish with foreign water. Qt the new fish and corals for 8 weeks and you are sure to remain ichless

UV will work for 100% of the water you get to go through the UV unit(allowing that your water flow is slow enough for the power of the UV bulb you are using)...the problem comes from the free swimming ones that you miss (in corners and dead areas as well as pockets of live rock or other media)...how do you ensure 100% of your water goes through the UV unit? There will always be pockets you will not be able to get...the only way I know of is the tank switch method where you move your fish or corals (in this case) every three to four days to a fresh tank.

Basically you beat the Incubation period...it is the only constant in the entire process...I would still use dips between tank switches...cost you some salt and iodine but it should be very effective.

Hypo also kills them in free swimming phase of their life cycle. As adults they can live in hypo, thankfully adult phase is short and they encrust to start babies again which can't live in hypo. So when they hatch they explode in hypo.
