    Spiny Boxfish

Wife brought it home yesterday, haven't seen it eat yet and not sure what to try. Tried my sis, brine, and raw scallops. Going to pick up raw shrimp in shell tomorrow. Also he swims up top all the time so I have the scallop in a clip at the top. Is that a problem?

I wouldn't worry too much yet. I had a yellow cubicus one time that I got to eat with blood worms. Once he started to eat, it would eat everything. I saw that fish over at Petco, I almost bought it for my big tank. Best of luck.

yeah, 1 month into QT on the fish in the QT and wife starts it over with her new fish..... all I needed was some smaller pellet food with garlic for the clowns and ended up with a new fish lol. At least I love the fact that she is now actively contributing to the hobby instead of getting upset everytime i spent any money on it.

I should have said for the future.

Have you tried nori? My cowfish slurps it up like spaghetti.

yep its in the tank for the two tangs. I now have a spiny boxfish, 4 clowns, 2 tangs in a 33g QT lol.... ARG. I was reading that boxfish are not good to keep with clowns as they may eat the clowns.... any truth?

Try freeze dried krill. The bigger dry kind, not the frozen cubes.

update: boxfish is a freaking hog, eats all the time. New porcupine puffer I got to start eating with garlic and dried krill just the smaller pieces. I am going to try and get some frozen krill tonight and see how he does.
