    Messing With Muh Camera













    Just messing with settings seeing what i can get to produce the best pictures. I like to think they didn't turn out too horrible, still needs work... and glass maybe needs cleaned kinda lol. but i'm looking to update my tank thread so i figure cell phone pictures are crummy and i'll see what i can't make happen with the nikon whatcha guys think?

    Alright. Its a Nikon d3000. Set on manual, ISO is at 1600 max with a shutter speed of 1/30th. Shooting them in raw format and using Photoshop to edit them and remove some of the blue. Works best so far when I have blue and whites on. Can't seem to dial it in with just blues. White balance is set to auto as I can't get anything to work when I try to calibrate manually. I think the camera sensors must just not be all that great to compensate for the temp of the blues

    what I did to figure out white balance was make an adjustment and take a pic. Make another and take a pic. I did this till I got the WB where I wanted it for the closest color rendition. Use a tripod too, to keep the camera steady.

    Yeah. I want to use a tripod but the mounting peice on ours mysteriously disappeared lol. Waiting to get some chump change so I can buy a replacement. Im not sure how to adjust the white balance the way you did on my camera. Theres no real way to tweak it aside from the presets or taking a picture of something white under the lighting and I always get unable to use image error...
