Help with hair algae on zoas

I've read that people use peroxide dips to rid plugs of hair algae. Anyone here done this with success and if so what mixture did you use?

I used the 50/50 method and dipped for 5 minutes. Didn't think it worked but it did. Took my zoas about 3 weeks to open back up

All I did what a freshwater dip:

Get rodi water in a cup (try to copy ph and temp preferably)

Get the plug and manually remove as much as possible

Put in rodi water for 1-2 minutes

Zoas opened back up within 2 hours and have not had algea since

I liked it! I mean now I have a coral dip that should help with algea but some people on reef central love freshwater dips! You should look it up

I probably won't ever do the peroxide dip again. It smells bad and I thought for sure they were gone.

I have gone 50/50 for 3 minutes or so. Pull as much off as you can, before you dip. There is a thread here about it, somewhere.
