    Check eBay for the red sea test kit. It's a good kit and pretty affordable. Also how often and how much are you feeding? May need to boost your cleanup crew too.

    Feeding once daily. Just got a cleanup crew from reefcleaners.org. I'll look at the red sea kit.

    Ok kits are ordered. It doesn't seem like I am getting a lot of flow from my pump. What would be a good pump to run on a 40 breeder?

    Try cleaning it first. They will gum up a little over time. It will make a difference.
    I'm using a quiet one 3000 for my frag system. Plus a couple of koralia pumps up top.

    Ok. The tank smells like death now. Have never had a tank stink. All fish are accounted for. What am I missing???

    Sweat, ask freedom. Let him know your h2o is funky. He is going to give you a lot of the same advice all the others are as well but fyi, I've never got bad advice from him and a couple times he had the answer on his first thought.

    Do you have any Prime or other product that removes ammonia? If so, you can add some of that. A water change and new carbon would be in order too.
