    Ich on foxface??

Soooooo picked up this guy yesterday, he was a little passed at first so he was his dark black and grey leave me the F alone color... By the time he settled down a bit and got Hai normal color back it was blue lights only on my tank and kinda hard to see. Now he's not rubbing on the rocks or anything... Grazing at algae and also eating brine and some flakes. He does kinda just stay in one spot for the most part though.. Breathing is kinda fast but I'll say that's just my opinion as I've no idea of the normal rate for these guys... Done some reading and a lot indicates to give it some time cause the stress can cause these spots too... But a lot also says ich treat iediately and qt him... So I'm looking for advice I guess, or your guys opinions... I'll try to get some better pics but this is what I've for for now

Hard to tell if it is ich. Are they pinhead size white spots? Were they there yesterday? Where did you get the fish from?

That does sound like ich but could be sand stuck to the mucus coat too.

Unfortunately, if it is ich, you may have infected your tank with it, already.

Like you said earlier it may have been sand... When I netted him and dropped him into a bucket some of the white stuff disappeared... Fingers crossed

many fish will pop ich just from the stress of moving, always best to have a QT to let them ride it out for a month or so.

Your welcome, I have read lots of info about ich when I had a outbreak a couple years back and took one of the scientifically proven methods to eradicate it, hypo salinity and ran my tank fish less for 10 weeks and alway qt new additions after that. Hate to say it but like murph said if that fish had ich and was in your tank your tank pry has it now. Either that fish came to you with ich or it was already in your tank and showed on the new fish cause it's immune system was low, no fish just pops with ich it's a parasite that has to be introduced at some point. If you take a fish from a ich free tank and put it in a new ich free tank no matter how stressed it is it will never get ich.
