I found this quote on an insane build thread I'll post separately:

Air cured portland concrete (what you guys are using) dries in a somewhat logrithmic time curve. Very quickly over the first few hours and days and then more slowely as time passes.

    1 day 15% strength
    3 days 40% strength
    7 days 60% strength
    14 days 80% strength
    28 days 90% strength

From 28 days to 100 years the concrete goes from 90% strength to 100% and then starts to decline in strength over the next 100 or so years until it turns back to powder and aggregate

i think anywere between 40-60% strength for concrete would be more then enough though i mean it isnt like we are building a 5 ton building or anything it is rock that at most will hold 100-200 pounds if it is a base rock

I edited the first post in here to include all the prices location and information I've learned over the last 2 weeks about DIY Live Rock. Just to help out anyone else who wants to do this and what to expect for prices.

Sweet! And I'll update my first post as I learn more or find other things. Or if others have some good advice and input on it, I'll copy the quote like I did for Joe and put it in the first post.

I was just making a joke bud. I'm not a moderator. Be patient. They get busy sometimes.

I agree. I've been following and keeping my snide remarks to myself as much as possible as to not clutter a usefull thread. Sometimes my foolish side gets the best of me....

Yup, I'll be there. Maybe about 30 minutes late tho. And I'll be sure to bring one. I have lots of small stuff that just didn't seem to want to hold on. lol

So here's an update on the live rock. I cured it for maybe 2 weeks and dropped them into my hang on filters on my tank for a week. Then just put them in with my live rock. No spikes in anything. And now they're actually live pieces of rock. And as promised, pictures. Im also pumped up to see the new threads on people giving the DIY live rocks like the foam. Awesome!
