    Birdsnest question

48 hours ago I got some nice frags from Luke W. Birdsnest, GSP, n Ricordia. The shroom n gsp are doing great but I haven't seen any polyps come out from the Birdsnest yet even at night. All my levels are 0, sg 1.022, temp 78.3. Running 96w of t5's on the 26 for now. Have has polys, shrooms and leathers in the past. How long does it usually take for SPS?

Should be open by now but sometimes they can take a few days. Your SG is low, most people run in the 025-026 range. What are your pH and dKh levels? If you don't have all those test kits you can take a sample of water in to Petco and they'll test it for you.

I'm no expert by any means but pH should be in the 8.1-8.4 range, dKh should be 7-12 range.

Alk is 8, pH is 8.3 and calcium is 420. Will mix up some new water to bring up the sg.

Everything looks good except the SG. Bring it up slow. My birdsnest loves light, it's in one of the highest PAR spots in my tank and it grows like nuts.
