    Pinched mantle??

Does my crocea looked like it has pinched mantle to you guys? Since yesterday it hasn't fully extended its mantle and in the picture you can see there is one place that it pulls back more than the rest. I'd like to give it a dip if it is but don't want to stress it if it isn't. Thanks.

Here's what it normally looks like

It looks iritated, but tough to know if it is PM yet... Keep an eye on it, and post more pics if it progresses. Only cure I've found for PM is a new tank after multiple FWD's. Once the bug is in the tank, there is no cure and no getting it out. All clams will eventually die from it if it is infact PM. Looks for pyramid snails around the foot, and look for anything possibly nipping at it.

I would check for pyramid snails first too. They like to hide near the foot and at the tip if the shell near the mantle. There us a good writeup on reef2reef about it and other clam problems. I'll see if I can find it

Info on the snails is about halfway through the first page. It'll give you a good place to start.
