hooked on my 180 reef, v2.0

All of the cleanup is done and I will start filling my 180 again tonight. Can't wait to get this beast back online.

Nothing much. I rechambered my sump. Everything else was just clean it up. Was going to go in-wall with it but I have a main furnace duct that would allow me about 12" clearance. So I decided to leave it where it is and just start over.
I have some ideas for different rockscape and will add LED lighting.

Not too sure about what I'll be putting in it. I just spent a month in Honolulu and am pretty excited about the fish that I saw over there. The best thing that this crash afforded me was the ability to rid my tank of mushrooms and unwanted weed zoas. You can bet that there wont be any of that, this time. lol.

Very nice! That is an insane amount of water lol. Hope everything goes well with it! So your adding LEDs to it even after your lighting epiphany? Or are they just going to be supplemental to the t5?

I think I may get more color temp of whites and try mixing it up a bit. I can't give up on Leds. Just have to keep trying stuff. I'm determined to figure this out.

I definitely look forward to hearing your results and to see what you settle on for sure... If your planning on DIYing the LEDs for it (which im sure you are) I'd like to maybe sit in on the process if that would be ok...

Tank is full of water now and the salt is mixed to desired level. The silicone in my sump should be dry today. So it will go back in the stand. I have cleaned all of the substrate and am ready to put it in. Today and this weekend I will pressure wash my rock and get that ready to place in next week. Then we wait.
I'm going back to Hawaii the first week in February, so it should be close by the time I get back. I'll just have to teach the "Sa$$y" one to do my water testing while I'm gone. I'll post pics as soon as the rockwork is finished.

Cambell - I will be adding some LED's to this system. When I get to that point I'll get in touch with you.

How long do you plan to let the silicone cure before you add water to the sump?

Everything sounds good!! At least maybe Hawaii will at least take your mind off some of the anticipation...

And definitely do if its not too much trouble... I'd really like to at least see some hands on to get a feel for what all goes into these for DIY... Thanks and thanks for the update!

The only concern is the acetic acid outgassing.

What kind of job requires travel to Hawaii?

MSDS states that it is usable at 24 hours, full cure at 72. Should be fine.

I design, build and install Utility submetering systems. Based on the TI MSP430 family of precessors. Right now we are doing several properties in Honolulu.
