So I recently got a 75 gal pre-drilled tank. It has a 1" drain and a 1" return. My questions are on the plumbing set up. It has bulkheads in it already. So do I use PVC pipe, or do I use flex hose. Either way I do it how do i have it not leak from the overflow bulkhead/pipe connection or the pipe/return connection. I have had a handful of SW tanks but besides a already setup 54 corner w/ a overflow box and a tube straight from the pump in, Ive never dealt with overflows of any sort. I want to set this up right the first time so I'm a bit nervous on how to do the set up. The plumbing portion scares me because it can make such a mess if done wrong it seems. Any help would be great guys! Heres some pics of it.

Thanks,
Aaron

What kind of pump are you going to be using? Easiest way to plumb this is to find a pump with a 1" inlet and 1" outlet and plumb them straight in to the existing bulkheads. Keep in mind the threads on the outside of the bulkhead, where the jam nut goes, are for the jam nut only and nothing else matches up to them. From the looks of it, the 1st pic, has threads on the inside, so you can find a threaded adapter that will allow you to use slip on your plumbing. Use plumbers tape to seal all threaded fittings. Pic 2 is hard to tell if it has threads or not but I am assuming it does as if it had slip, there would be a piece of PVC glued in there.
