So Iím going to be using an AquaC EV-120 for my 75g mix reef, from what I have been able to find out marinedepot.com recommends using ether a mag pump or rio as the driving pump. I was wondering what others here have used because Iím not really a fan of ether of the brands. Also what do you all recommend for a return pump? All this will be housed in a glass sump so the return will need to be fully submergible. :icon_question:

If you haven't bought the skimmer, don't waste your money. I had one and never got it dialed in. They are very old school technology.

Agreed. I wasn't a big fan of mine. They do work, but there are better now. Simply no reason to get anything but a needle wheel these days.

I used a mag 7 then had to go to a 9.5 on my EV-180.

I used the Mag 7 too. Didn't even need to throttle it. As with all skimmers, consistent water level gives consistent results.
