Kinda cool source for LEDs they sell retro fit DIY kits! Basically all in ones! Never dealt with them just think it is a cool idea to sell the "kits", not sure if they work out to be a deal or not though, looks pretty close with out adding it all up!

Not a bad price it would cost about $40 to $50 more to order the parts individually elsewhere. Then all you would need is a heat sink to match the retro you are putting them into. They can be purchased all over but the cheapest I have found is www.heatsinkusa.com

Damn, they're already outdated! I was looking into getting the 36 or 48 retro kit until I stumbled on this.

160 lumens at 350mA, and 750 lumens at 2 amps! It uses 7 watts but has the equivalent output of a 60 watt incandescent!

And 200 lumen LEDs are not far behind them.

They are a solidstate technology so every time they upgrade their machines and shrink the junction size there will be efficency improvements. This will continue until they can make the junction in the emitter the size of one single atom, after that it will take a different direction to make them more efficent.
