Hi everyone! This week we will be offering specials on clean up crew critters! We will also have another order coming in from ORA for those of you who may have missed it last week. Feel free to check out the thread from last week in our sponsor forum here to see what is up for grabs. I also have managed to secure 6 of the newly released Gold x Lightning hybrid maroons from ORA!

I am also taking special requests for anything you may be looking for. Any requests for this week are due in to me by Tuesday night.

The shipments will be arriving in the morning on Thursday March 23rd. There will be pick up information available Wednesday evening. We also offer an "In Town" delivery option for those of you who may be interested in that. This can be to your work, home, etc. The delivery fee is a flat rate of $25.00 per delivery in Colorado Springs. Delivery outside of the springs can be arranged, but the price will be adjusted based off of distance added. That being said everyone is welcome to pick up from us directly if that fits your needs better!

****All prices do not reflect taxes. Taxes will be shown on invoice.

3 porcelain crabs
5 Astrea
5 Banded trochus
20 Cerith
1 Nardoa Starfish (any idea what color?)

I don't have any, but for those looking to get rid of asternia starfish, the Nardoa starfish eats them.

I've had a Nardoa for a little over a year. Super hardy, and they do in fact eat the asternia stars. I love mine! They aren't very colorful being mostly slate grey with some "tile" shapes that are darker.

I remember seeing yours and thought it looked cool. It was moving pretty fast too.

If Tristan can pick this up for you on Thursday when he comes up from Pueblo that would be ideal. I won't be working Friday to arrange pickup, but I'd like to get you your items. I'll build an invoice for you and get the cost with taxes and we can go from there.

Ignore that the past couple of posts have been from my personal handle. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170321/8c5cf9c5b17ffb343b4eedd2ccfba896.jpg

This may be a stupid question. I'd love to get a sea cucumber. I saw one in a member's tank that was really cool looking, and it was doing a great job of filtering the sand. I picked one up from a retailer. I made the classic mistake of doing the hours of research after I'd purchased it.

I come to find out that the bulk of sea cucumbers purchased have likely eviscerated themselves, and have no functional stomach. Instead, they'll just slowly starve to death in your tank as they digest themselves down to nothing. I've never seen my sea cucumber leaving behind any of the telltale sand turds I'd expect if it were eating.

Is there any way to order a sea cucumber that has a working/intact digestive system? I can't imagine there's any way to know short of observing them cleaning sand after arrival.

Great question! I'll put it to you this way... I have had the same 3 sand sifting cucumbers for over 15 years. They do a great job, and I assume that they have to be getting what they need in order to survive that long. I've never had a reason to feel uncomfortable adding one to any system I own or maintain.

I've got several sea cucumbers that definitely eat. I've even had them breed and produce offspring that made it. I wouldn't be concerned about getting one.
