So I have noticed here recently that my Ph level is running at 8.42 at night up to 8.65 during the day. Is this good or bad and how do I correct it? I am wanting to keep it as close to 8.45 as I can. I have a 75 gallon with a 40 breader sump. I run filter socks, and a protein skimmer. I have 2 clowns, a six line wrasse, purple dotty back, green chromis and a royal basslet. I did a 20 gallon water change last weekend. Any suggestions would help greatly. Oh and my cal is 415, alk is 8.52 and mag is at 1450.

Test it with another kit. And if it's the same I know vinegar lowers ph

Is the tank downstairs? Windows all closed up? CO2 sinks causing pH to go up.

Think you have that backwards Paul, that would cause pH to drop [emoji2]

I would also be suspicious of your results unless your dosing kalkwasser. Sounds like your probe isn't calibrated or you have a bad kit.
