View Full Version : Happy Hammer or Mad Hammer?

This hammer is putting it all out there. I think it's happy, or it's really mad and about to bust a cap on something swimming by.

That's a mating ritual!

Those are sweeper tentacles for coral warfare. They send them out when there are other corals close by to sting them. It's why you want at least 6" between euphilla corals and others. This is how they prevent themselves from being overcrowded so they can grow. Many corals employ similar tactics but just don't have the same reach.

With that kind of music, it's definitely in the mood for some mating.

I agree with the sweepers, but that is some baby making music.

It's sweepers, but this is the longest I've seen them out. It's been there by those neighbors for a few months. It put on that track all by itself, so, maybe t's in the mood.
