Thanks Joe, I figured I'd QT the pipe too, can never be too safe with all the crazy aquatic STDs out there

You have lids on your tank cause they can jump high

That's always been my fear. Dump a hundo for a fish and he camps out on the back side of the tank. I guess you could do like Levi and build a 5 star tunnel for it right in the middle front of the tank. That worked.

Well, I'm hoping that the fact he's not shy in the QT translates to the same in the display, but I know it's a whole different deal once he goes in. We shall see

Not gonna lie I love the tunnel I picked up from Levi even tho I don't have the fish for it yet I'm excited to get him in!

A week later and this guy is doing awesome. No sign of disease or overstress, definitely keeping an eye out for the dreaded blue dot jawfish disease, so far so good. Added some rubble for him and he's built himself quite the cave

So I moved him to my tank today. And he looks like doodoo, heavy breathing, lethargic, dunno if hes gonna make it after 4 weeks of healthy happy qt now he looks like this. Any suggestions?

He could just be stressed out from the move to the new tank. It's like you just brought him home from the store again. Were the tank parameters the same; temp, pH, salinity? If there is a big difference in pH between the tanks it could be stressing him out. You could try turning down lights to help him out and make sure he can't jump out anywhere either. I can't see how he is acting like you can but I wouldn't worry too much yet.

Be sure to spot feed him without the other tank inhabitants crowding him. Definitely close the tank up like a maximum security prison.

Oh he's in a biocube covered and has a fish saver installed as well, he'll stay out for sure. My parameters are spot on from qt to display even temp wise, I am likely just worrying too soon because i know they have ****ty survivability in captivity

Well I was rewarded last night and again this morning, he dug a burrow finally yesterday and right up against the rock wall facing my bed, awesome. And this morning he ate quite a bit, maybe I got lucky and he was just super stressed

Yea I bet he was just stressed. Jawfish are pretty skiddish to begin with anyways. It's good to hear he's doing better!
