Will fluorescent light grid work? Kept my firefish safe.

I use BRS holes are 1/4" Egg Crate is 3/8" but would work till you can get some screen in.

Why is your ear in the tank?

LMAO. Typically we save an "ASAP" title for an actual emergency bro. Examples of this would be a tank explosion, fire sale, or RTN. Then again, you have had alot of responses in a short amount of time so I applaud your creativity.

Use egg crate if you need something immediately. You can buy it at home depot in a 2'x4' piece. This will block a lot of light, which is why it is a short term solution for a jumping fish or a kid who like to throw things. Also, you will use the crap out of the egg crate for small little projects in your future reefing career.

Go onto bulkreefsupply.com and buy the screen tank covers for a long term solution. This blocks minimal light, but is a little more expensive than the egg crate idea. The screen is easy to customize the size that you want and easy to install and remove for tank maintenance.
