View Full Version : Prizm Pro Deluxe skimmer

Due to space constraints in my sump, I must run a HOB skimmer. I have been considering the Prizm Pro Deluxe skimmer. Says its good up to 300 gal. It will go on a 100 gal tank eventually, but will go on my 55 for another month or so until the 100 is set up. I am not expecting this thing to work miracles, but wonder if this will work ok for my tank since I will be only reaching 1/3 of its maximum potential.. Anyone have any experience with these?

IN MHO all RedSea skimmer are JUNK!!!! I would not put a prizm on goldfish bowl!!!

And as far as being rated to 300 Gallons..... What a laugh... the only person i know that has had any luck with one has it on a 5 gallon nano!!!

I can't believe they have the balls to rate that thing for 300 Gal.

a 300 gallon tank with one snail would be to much for it.

No worries.... Do you think it will make the angles?

07-20-2008, 06:46 PM
I think it will I still have to mesure the celling because it drops down a little at the bottom of the stairs

07-20-2008, 06:48 PM
the tank is 72.5 X 24.5 X 24.5.....

07-20-2008, 06:54 PM
ok my roof is 6'5" at the bottom of the stairs so it would just be the angle at which the bedroom door is

07-20-2008, 06:56 PM
let me get you the corner to corner measurement.

07-20-2008, 06:58 PM
it is 76 7/8" so call it 77 from bottom left corner to top right corner.

07-20-2008, 07:03 PM
man I think it would fit

07-21-2008, 03:44 PM
well what hang on tank would people recommend?

07-21-2008, 05:41 PM
The turbo floater is one of the better hang ons.... in sumps are better, you have more choices.

07-23-2008, 01:28 PM
cool!... that is the one I will get then... It looks like this one can be used in or out of the sump so it will work great for me! I might be able to use this one in my sump due to the design!
