Thanks to Aquaria Masters for taking some if my old crap laying around and collecting dust off my hands. In exchange I received a brand new AI Prime. Thing is pretty cool. Eventually I'll get around to writing up a nice little review after its been on the tank for a while. I replaced the fluval sea and reef nano LED with this thing. The difference in light output is unreal and the wireless control makes this light easy to use. Excited to see where it takes my little nano. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/16/934b60a7ada6d34d7c797ad9bbe36d26.jpg

Was he selling those AI primes or was that something he just traded for? Cause I've been thinking about getting one of those

Yes! I was actually just playing with that setting. I really like this thing. The controls on the android app are pretty much the same as on the pc. I got some cool color out of it. I'm pretty stoked to start putting sticks in this tank now. My nem is super happy now too, he used to be at the top of the rocks super stretched out all day. When I got home today he had moved halfway down and isn't all super stretched. I think I'm gonna save for a few more of these and switch my frag tank lighting from halides my halide fixture. Maybe... first step is to replace pc lights with t5 and if I'm still not happy it's LED for me

It's not pointless... it's called aesthetics. It serves a very specific purpose, being that if pleases me

Haha yeah that's not even all of them. We just hardboiled 2 1/2 dozen before I took the video. Having chickens is awesome

I have my max set at like 67%. This video is one hour into the 4 hour ramp down cycle so they are already dropped down into about the 50% range. It really does put out some nice light

It didn't seem like it in the video but does the flash of light scare the clown?

I am also looking into new lighting. With a 54g corner, I would probably need two huh. Would it be better to get one Hydra 52?

charleshardy5
05-31-2015, 08:59 AM
Prolly better to go with the hydra doe a larger application such as yours unless you're not planning in keeping a ton of light intensive stuff
